NASA International Space Apps Challenge
On October 4–5, 2025, the NASA International Space Apps Challenge took place at the Kyiv location — a global hackathon dedicated to space exploration, planet Earth, and the dissemination of scientific knowledge using NASA’s open data. A total of 48 teams participated in the hackathon, of which 4 were selected to represent Ukraine at the global stage. Among the winners is the joint team SpaceWorms, consisting of students from FICT and FAM (including Denys Stepchyn, KM-51mn group), who proposed an ambitious project that significantly accelerates the process of exoplanet analysis and detection. Another project that caught the jury’s attention was ExoScope, developed by a team of students from the Department of Applied Mathematics at FAM: Mykyta Barkalov, Mykola Bovan, Volodymyr Redkin, Bohdan Tkach, Illia Paliienko, and Roman Tsaruk. Congratulations to the teams on their remarkable results, and we wish them further cosmic achievements! 🚀
