International Projects
The Faculty of Applied Mathematics actively participates in international educational and research initiatives. Our recent and ongoing projects include:
DAAD programme «Ostpartnerschaften 2025-2027» project for cooperation and collaboration between HTW Berlin and Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, (2025-2027). The project aims to expand university cooperation in teaching and research.
DAAD programme «Ukraine digital: Studienerfolg in Krisenzeiten sichern» project «IUSTUF - Digital Interdisciplinary Mini Academy IV», 2025. The project aims to expand cooperation in teaching with the University of Freiburg and provide scholarship support to Ukrainian students affected by the war.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters «MATHS-DISC – Mathematical Modelling Simulation and Data Science for Industrial and Societal Challenges» (2024–2030). This project aims to establish a joint master's degree program for students from around the world in mathematics, computer science, and data science. The goal is to prepare highly qualified specialists capable of addressing complex challenges of the new industrial and economic era.
Erasmus+ KA2 «Eco Minds – Enhancing Environmental Data Collection through Machine Learning and Database Systems» (2024–2027). The project supports the digital and green transformation of higher education. It brings together universities, IT companies, and civil society organizations from five countries to develop innovative approaches in environmental data processing.
Erasmus+ KA2 «NEXT – Digital Transformations for Supporting Next-Generation Labour», (2023-2026). The NEXT project addresses the growing gap between the rapid development of digital technologies and the insufficient readiness of professionals from non-IT sectors to work effectively with them.
HORIZON 2020: «AMMODIT – Approximation Methods for Molecular Modelling and Diagnosis Tools» (2015–2019). This research initiative focused on developing mathematical methods for use in medicine, biotechnology, and molecular modeling through international collaboration.
NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme: «CyRADARS – Cyber Rapid Analysis for Defense Awareness of Real-time Situation» (2017–2020). The project’s main objective was to develop tools for situational awareness during operations involving the spread of harmful or misleading information.
EUREKA: «EUREKA «Health^5G – Future eHealth powered by 5G», 2018. This project aimed to develop next-generation eHealth services based on 5G technology. The consortium included 44 companies and universities from 10 countries.
Volkswagen Foundation: “BEE’S Groups – Business, Engineering and Education Study Groups” (2016–2018). Coordinated by the University of Koblenz-Landau (Germany)
TEMPUS: «MEDIS – A Methodology for Formation of Highly Qualified Engineers in Advanced Industrial Informatics Systems» (2014–2018). The project promoted synergy between educational programs, research initiatives, and business innovations in the field of industrial informatics.
Erasmus+ KA2: «ParIS – Partnership in Information Security» (2015–2017).
